Remedies for Acne / Pimples
Acne or pimples are really a problem of adolescent or teenagers. Especially it is a serious problem for adolescent girls who are relatively more conscious about books and beauty. Blackheads and sebaceous cysts appearing on the surface of the skin may not be harmful physiologically but are certainly disfiguring.
As per modern medical research, pimples are not caused by diet but certain types of foods do exacerbate this condition. Foods like chocolates, candies, cola drinks, ice-creams, sweets, excessively fatty substances are stated to fall in this category. Drugs containing bromides and iodides also appear to aggravate acne. These findings of the modern Allopathic school are quite correct. In fact acne in many cases is attributable to the intake of the substances which contain artificial flavours, artificial colours, and chemical preservatives, emulsifying chemicals – all of which are synthetic and harmful. In Allopathic practice ointments and lotions of anti-bacterial action are available which take care of any infections that may develop on the sebaceous cysts. But pimples or acne, per-se does not appear to have a satisfactory cure. Commercially available ointments again are not of great value.
Some proven herbal / Ayurvedic remedies for pimples are given below:
