I am a 34 year old male. I have always been overweight, my BMI always beyond 26 and having even touched 30 in the past. I tried cutting down on calories—making all those calculations and then depriving myself even of delicious natural foodstuffs like mangoes, chikoos and bananas, besides sweets and sugary stuff. ┬áMy experience is that these things work temporarily and you feel that you are depriving yourself of the nutrient power of such natural items. I also felt weak and enervated at times while losing weight.

Aerobic exercises for short durations increased my appetite and made me regain weight faster than I shed it.

Since February 2017, I have started restricting my cereal intake to twice daily—little cereal items at breakfast and a full cereal meal at lunch. At night time, I take only fruit, followed by hot milk, if I feel too hungry.

I have shed 9 kg. in 4 months and I feel more energetic. And I am not doing heavy aerobics–only light short distance walks.
