My sister had undergone minor surgery during her delivery and after childbirth, the doctor had advised strong antibiotics along with vitamin B complex tablets to be taken for one month to prevent infection in the stitches area. She had a feeling that during initial lactation, the antibiotics, which dissolve in the bloodstream, may spoil the quality of milk for the newborn. Her stitches completely healed after 15 days, obviously, without any infection of the area.
